Straight outta the chaos of the pandemic, a new beast has clawed its way onto the hardcore scene: Pig Pen. Fronted by none other than the culinary and screen sensation, Matty Matheson, this ain't your average celebrity side project. Matheson's raw vocals are backed by a serious hardcore pedigree, featuring Wade MacNeil of Alexisonfire shredding guitar alongside the genre-bending Daniel Romano also on guitar, with Ian "SKI" Romano on drums and Tommy Major with the heavy basslines. This crew cooked up ten tracks of pure, unadulterated hardcore in a mere 48 hours, and their live debut at Toronto's Sneaky Dee's was a sold-out frenzy. Get ready to dive headfirst into their debut album, Mental Madness, dropping June 27th on Flatspot Records, with the blistering first single "Mental Mentality" already giving us a taste of the mayhem to come – a raw anthem about the brain's ability to sabotage even the best days.
