"The Beat" Signals New Era for Beloved Baltimore band, Angel Du$t

Hardcore Continues To Shine

Angel Du$t Teases New Album with "The Beat" Single

Baltimore's Angel Du$t, the genre-bending band known for their consistent evolution since 2013, has just dropped a new music video for "The Beat." This single is from a new 3-song 7” released on their new label, Run For Cover Records. The single features guest vocals from Taylor Young (Twitching Tongues, God's Hate), and the music video, directed by Blaise Cepis, mirrors the song's direct and impactful sound. The 7" also includes "The Knife" and a vinyl-only bonus track, a cover of Bugg's "I Don't Wanna Hear It" featuring Scott Vogel of Terror.

Angel Du$t originally formed as a side project within the Baltimore hardcore scene with members of Turnstile and Trapped Under Ice (including frontman Justice Tripp), and have always defied easy categorization. Their early releases like 2014's A.D. and 2016's Rock the Fuck on Forever showcased a classic but fresh hardcore style. However, they've continuously experimented, famously pivoting to a more pop-oriented, acoustic sound with 2019's Pretty Buff. This ongoing exploration culminated in their critically acclaimed 2023 album, Brand New Soul, which masterfully wove together their diverse stylistic influences.

"The Beat" marks Angel Du$t's exciting first release on Run For Cover, further cementing their position as a unique force in hardcore and beyond.
