The prolific Dutch producer, vocalist, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist ZEP (born Zep Barnasconi) has officially unveiled his latest single, "NOBODY," now available through PULSE Records, complete with an accompanying music video seen here. ZEP approaches social media right as an artist, making incredible, creative reels with imprint beats that are truly incredible. This major release follows his triumphant, sold-out NYC rave and a dynamic 66GREENE performance, where he first showcased a live version of this powerful self-affirmation anthem.
ZEP's work is a combustible, genre-fusing mashup, expertly blending electronic music with the raw energy of rock, punk, and hip-hop. His creative trajectory is deeply personal: he is the child of Bazz Barnasconi, the frontman for Dutch alternative rock band Vankatoen, ensuring he was immersed in live music culture from an early age, cultivating his early passion for drums. He further formalized this talent by attending the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
"This track is a personal reflection on the past leading to self-acceptance. It’s about learning to embrace the parts of myself I once felt vulnerable about. I’ve had to own being tall, bald, sometimes not financially stable, and dealing with the absence of my mother. I've chosen to celebrate these realities instead of concealing them. There is NOBODY like me, like you. My hope is this song serves as a reminder that your differences are, in fact, your strengths. Embrace your 'weird'; it's your edge," shares ZEP.
